Jambu (Acmella oleracea) is a herbaceous plant native to the Brazilian Amazon, known for its anesthetic and sensory effect on the mouth. When consumed, it causes a tingling sensation and slight numbness in the lips and tongue, as well as increasing salivation.
In this illustration, André Hulk also incorporated elements of indigenous paintings into the design.
